ETWINNING PROJECTS 2020-2021

In the school year 2020-2021, we were involved in three eTwinning projects, involving he majority of our students, as part of our English class. Here are our projects:

European Legends (Collaborative Writing)

Class B2

"European Legends" is a collaborative writing project that involved students from 5 countries during the 2020-21 school year (France, Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey). The aim was to have partners learn about the European legends that are part of a common cultural heritage. The first step was getting to know each other. The second step was to learn more about Scotland, its history, geography, culture and legends, finally creating a book with short stories about ghosts in Scotland. They then studied the history, geography, culture and history of Ireland by making games that were part of a digital scavenger hunt. Finally they exchanged legends and myths of their countries of origin (all with a coastline in the Mediterranean Sea), and used this information to write stories in international teams, "Mediterranean Legends". The teams worked collaboratively seeking to reuse these myths and invented unpublished stories mixing those elements for new adventures, creating our final ebooks.

Futurtopia

Class B1 & A2

The project ‘Futurtopia” has cultural and linguistic purposes, aiming at fostering authentic communication and collaboration between European students, the ability to work in teams, reflect together, develop active citizenship skills and implement behaviors in line with the objectives of the 2030 Agenda. Climate crisis, pandemic, unemployment, poverty, conflicts, our world is reaching its limits from an ecological, economic and social point of view. Are there any alternatives? How could this be a new utopia? "Futurtopia" is both a representation of students' imaginative power and a challenge to make a difference. Starting from a common reflection on the 17 Goals of Sustainable Growth, the proposed activities, such as brainstorming, forums, drawings and collaborative writing, have promoted various skills, the ability to communicate the students’ point of view and expectations, encouraging students to express themselves, take a stand and be active promoters of change.

 "What could have hAPPened"

Class A1

"What could have hAPPened" is an Etwinning project carried out during the school year 2020-2021 that focuses on history and technology. Aiming at enhancing historic awareness and media literacy, it poses questions such as: How history could have been different if we had Internet, smart devices back then? What apps could have changed history? How is the present connected to the past? What is the value of historical memorials? What messages could you send to future generations? Besides, the project focuses on exploring and working on the European heritage Label sites as well as capturing the today history.

The PROJECT CONCEPT is inspired and largely based on the Etwinning associated 'friends", EUROPEANA and the EUROPEAN HERITAGE LABEL SITES

ERASMUS+ EMPOWER FOR EMPLOYABILITY

Geniko Likio Pentapolis participated in the Erasmus+ project "Empower for Employability" during 2018-2021. Students learned about different learning types and learning styles, testing themselves and developing strategies and examples for successful learning. Moreover, they investigated aspects of motivation and how to become more successful by boosting motivation with relation to body language and power poses as well as its importance for success, via motivational speakers and the students delivering their own motivational speeches The student workshop about “How can school and formal education become more motivating”? was organized using teaching methods such as snowballing and discussion groups, and triggered a debate on the topic by engaging the participants. Two workshops, run by a teacher of humanities and a STEM teacher, explored how project-based learning can engage unmotivated students in knowledge and skills acquisition. Η ΓΙΟΡΤΗ ΤΗΣ ΣΗΜΑΙΑΣ ΣΤΟ ΓΕΛ ΠΕΝΤΑΠΟΛΗΣ 2020

Την 27η Οκτωβρίου το ΓΕΛ Πεντάπολης τίμησε τους μαθητές που αρίστευσαν κατά το σχολικό έτος 2019-2020, με βραβεία και αριστεία. Ο κ. Μπαδέκας, καθηγητής Οικονομικών και κάτοικος Πεντάπολης, έδωσε χρηματικά βραβεία στους 3 πρώτους μαθητές, που αρίστευσαν σε βαθμολογία στις Πανελλαδικές εξετάσεις. Επίσης συγκροτήθηκε η Σημαία του σχολείου, με την Σημαιοφόρο και τους Παραστάτες.

Mαθητής του Γενικού Λυκείου Πεντάπολης θα εκπροσωπήσει την Ελλάδα στο Παγκόσμιο Φόρουμ Μαθητών (Global Students Forum) των Σχολείων ASPnet UNESCO.

  ΓΕΝΙΚΟ ΛΥΚΕΙΟ ΠΕΝΤΑΠΟΛΗΣ ΣΕΡΡΩΝ                      ΠΕΝΤΑΠΟΛΗ 08/11/2021 ΔΕΛΤΙΟ ΤΥΠΟΥ M αθητής του Γενικού Λυκείου Πεντάπολης θα εκπροσωπήσει την Ελλάδα στο Παγκόσμιο Φόρουμ Μαθητών (Global Students Forum) των Σχολείων   ASPnet UNESCO . Το Γενικό Λύκειο Πεντάπολης συμμετέχει, επί πέντε συνεχή έτη, στο δίκτυο των σχολείων ASPnet UNESCO . Τα σχολεία του δικτύου Α SPnet UNESCO υλοποιούν προγράμματα, τα οποία υπηρετούν τις πανανθρώπινες αξίες που ο Οργανισμός της UNESCO έχει βάλει ως στόχο να υπηρετεί.   Στη διάρκεια των 5 ετών, το Γενικό Λύκειο Πεντάπολης υλοποίησε και παρουσίασε προγράμματα, τα οποία έφεραν στο σχολείο πλήθος επαίνων και τιμητικών διακρίσεων. Είναι μάλιστα χαρακτηριστικό ότι το σχολείο μας   είναι το μόνο σχολείο της Ελλάδας που κλήθηκε να παρουσιάσει το πρόγραμμά του, τόσο στο συμπόσιο των σχολείων της Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας, όσο και στο συμπόσιο των σχολείων της Αττικής.   Ως επιβράβευση της πολυετούς δράσης μας, ο μαθητής   της Γ΄ Λυκείου Βίκτωρα
